Either Camellia or Ember can provide the Evil Eye (the effect takes place for 1 round even if they save). Alternatively, a fighter with weapons training or ranger with favored enemy can help with AB too. If you're not a Paladin Seelah or even Regill should be able to smite. In the picture, I didn't actually have all my available buffs, but it was more than enough to get into "hit" range. Use Greater Magic Weapon to make it a +5. Finnean in his +3 form is insanely useful since Brilliant Energy is effectively +9 to hit. Truesight is also a must (since you're already contending against high AC). You just need to stack enough buffs and debuffs. I'm not sure what your mythic path is, so you might need some alternativesĮven if you don't have some fancy mythic spell, his AC is high, but not literally unhittable. I'll break this up into two parts - damaging him, and surviving him. Nothing super fancy in terms of tricks, just getting in a few buffs and a few tactics. So here's my experience dealing with him (on Core, with a Paladin/Angel). Every other optional or required boss was significantly easier than this fight with the possible exception of stringy demodand, if I couldn't hit them well they probably couldn't hit camellia either. I spent at least an 90-120 minutes on this fight before resorting to uh, save scum tactics. Group was Bloodrager/Nenio/Camellia/Wendy/Arue/Ember so no Blade Barrier cheese I saved and quit at the T intersection and then realized there was a boss at the location resuming play later, well turns out there's a pat Deathsomething that aggros him or is part of his encounter so kiting and presummons were extremely limited. I tried mass summons, even multiple using multiple summoning and conjuring items and rings from a duplicate bug but that only delayed my mc or cams death Swarms seemed like a good idea at the time with Camellia but they also need to roll 20s it looks like and kill themselves with attacks of opportunity from the ghosts if used too early, and Playful has enough movement to threaten and kill everyone from turn 2 onward so delaying them felt necessary but also questionable Not a lich which apparently makes him and every other fight in the game 10x easier with 600-900 damage in a round, I will have to rectify this in a another playthrough but not this one After spending literally 2 hours fishing for a 1 on baleful polymorph, and then 5 minutes autoattacking until enough 20s were rolled to kill him I am just curious on more consistent methods.
